It began simply — under the name Paras Agro Seeds, tied up with other companies to bring quality seeds to local farmers who had few reliable options.
At the time, Bihar was known for one crop above all others: maize. Shankar Prasad chose to focus there, and over the years, the state grew to become one of India's largest maize-producing regions — with Paras Agro Seeds playing its part in that story.
